Sishen Cufflink Classical Chinese Astronomy represented the heavens divided into four quarters representing the four seasons and directions, each section being ruled by a guardian deity.

North & Winter ruled by The Black Warier, XuanWu, East & Spring by The Green Dragon, Qing Long, South & Summer by the Red Phoenix, Zhu Que, West & Autumn by the White Tiger, Bai Hu.
